About this place
Apuã Beach is another natural beauty of southern Bahia. It has some good swimming areas and others for fishing, but no barriers to block the waves, so take great care and always seek information when visiting. Sea turtles can be spotted, some enormous. There are several beach kiosks. This place is part of Rede Bem Bahia’s Regional Guide and helps visitors understand the natural, historical, cultural and scenic diversity of the Costa do Descobrimento. The experience varies with the time of day, tide, weather, calendar and means of access. Plan your visit considering travel, time on site and current rules, and confirm operational information before setting out.
Getting there
In the Santa Cruz Cabrália area, access may be via the beach, the banks of the João de Tiba River, a pier or a boat. Confirm the exact location, tide, ferry times and navigation conditions.
Things to do
Walk along the sand, admire the scenery, swim when conditions are safe and observe the changes in color and terrain caused by the tide. Allow time to notice the details presented in the attraction description and take photographs responsibly.
