About this place
From August 30 to September 7, celebrations honor Nossa Senhora da Pena, Porto Seguro's patron saint, with a novena at the parish church of Nossa Senhora da Pena in the Historic Center, considered one of the first churches built in the country. A street fair is set up during the festival. This place is part of Rede Bem Bahia’s Regional Guide and helps visitors understand the natural, historical, cultural and scenic diversity of the Costa do Descobrimento. The experience varies with the time of day, tide, weather, calendar and means of access. Plan your visit considering travel, time on site and current rules, and confirm operational information before setting out.
