About this place
Every year on August 6, the Arraial d'Ajuda district hosts a pilgrimage honoring Nossa Senhora d'Ajuda, followed by festivities from the 7th to the 15th of the same month. The event brings together people from across the country and is popular for the variety of stalls set up in the streets. This place is part of Rede Bem Bahia’s Regional Guide and helps visitors understand the natural, historical, cultural and scenic diversity of the Costa do Descobrimento. The experience varies with the time of day, tide, weather, calendar and means of access. Plan your visit considering travel, time on site and current rules, and confirm operational information before setting out.
